Frequently asked questions

Collabnb is a two-sided marketplace that connects content creators — UGC filmmakers, micro-influencers, travel creators — with boutique hospitality hosts. Creators apply for stays in exchange for content deliverables. Hosts post collab listings to find and vet creators who'll tell their story. It's not an influencer agency and it's not a travel booking platform. It's direct collab infrastructure for both sides of the deal.

Airbnb is for paying guests. Collabnb is for collab arrangements where the stay is exchanged for content — there's no money changing hands for the room itself, just an agreement on deliverables. Unlike influencer platforms, we're not an agency taking a cut, we don't offer gifting campaigns for mass brands, and we don't cater to large hotel chains. We focus exclusively on the boutique end of hospitality and the creator-first end of travel content.

The first 100 verified creators and the first 100 verified hosts — 200 total founding members — will receive lifetime access to every Collabnb feature, regardless of any future pricing we introduce. "Verified" means our team has reviewed your application and approved it (manual audit, not automated). We track by submission date, so signing up early matters. Access is per-role: 100 creator spots and 100 host spots are separate pools.

Yes. We explicitly built creator tiers for beginners: UGC Beginner (building a portfolio, no follower requirement) and UGC Pro (paid UGC output, not necessarily a large following). Follower count isn't the only metric. A focused UGC creator producing high-quality vertical video for boutique properties is exactly what many hosts want — even if they have 2,000 followers. Quality of output and fit matter more than size.

Sign up on the host waitlist and we'll verify your property before launch. Once the app is live on June 1, you'll post collab listings: the stay details, the deliverable brief (e.g. "3 Reels + 1 TikTok, romantic vibe, no face required"), the dates available, and your preferred creator tier. Creators apply to you — you review their portfolio and approve the best fit. No agency, no middleman taking a cut.

June 1, 2026. The waitlist closes or fills up before then. If you're on this page, you're early. Verified waitlist members will receive early access before the public launch. Beta testers (opt-in on the form) will get access even earlier to help us shape the product.

The waitlist is free. Once the app launches, creators get their first collaboration completely free — no payment until you've seen it work. After that first successful collab, continuing to apply and message hosts requires either a $10/month or $60/year plan. Browsing listings is always free.

The first 100 verified creators get Founding Access — lifetime access to the core platform, no subscription ever, no commissions on any deal, and a Founding Partner badge. For hosts: joining and listing stays is always free. A $20 flat fee applies per successful free-stay collab, and a 5% fee on paid collaborations.

Manual audit by our team. We look at your TikTok and Instagram profiles, your content quality, your tier, and whether your output style fits boutique hospitality collabs. We're not grading you on follower count alone. If your work is good and your handles are real, you'll pass. We're keeping it manual for the first 100 to make sure quality stays high on both sides of the marketplace.

Yes. If you're a creator who also owns or manages a boutique property, you can join both waitlists. Submit two separate applications — one as a creator (with your handles and tier) and one as a host (with your property details). Each is reviewed independently, and each counts against its own 100-spot pool.

Short-form vertical video is the most common ask — TikToks, Instagram Reels. Some hosts want UGC-style (no face, raw footage they can license for ads). Others want lifestyle content for their own social channels. A few want written content or photography alongside video. Each host sets their own brief when they list a stay, so you'll always know exactly what's expected before you apply.
